Dror Futter will be addressing the Stevens Venture Center of the Stevens Institute of Technology where he is an Entrepreneur in Residence on May 17.  His topic will be “Dividing Founders’ Equity and Understanding Venture Compensation.”

Mr. Futter is a Partner in the areas of Venture Capital and Technology. He holds more than 20 years of high tech and business experience. Mr. Futter represents emerging companies and their investors, as well as a wide range of technology companies. He has been in almost every legal role in the venture capital community. He started as the General Counsel of New Venture Partners, a VC fund focused on corporate spinouts. While there, he helped to form funds, and advised multiple start-ups and corporate spin-offs in the information technology and telecommunications industries, as well as serving as the venture fund’s legal counsel. In addition, during his tenure at New Venture Partners, Mr. Futter negotiated, structured and documented strategic alliances with Lucent Technologies, British Telecom and Philips and handled the acquisitions of assets and IP of over twenty ventures from those companies and others such as Intel, IBM, Boeing, Freescale, Unilever, IDEO, Maxim and Telstra.
