Rimon Partner Eric Kirsch to Present on Preparing for U.S. Discovery – Best Practices & Policies

On November 10, 2023, Rimon Partner Eric Kirsch will give a seminar entitled, “Preparing for U.S. Discovery – Best Practices and Policies”, moderated by Akihiro Ryuka, Director at RYUKA International Patent Office. The seminar will take place at RYUKA International Patent office in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

Discovery in America is broad, expensive and can be dangerous for Japanese companies who are not familiar with the rules and procedures.

The seminar will provide valuable information about the rules and procedures for American discovery along with effective strategies to avoid creating “bad documents” (e.g., documents created during a patent clearance, licensing demand or patent assertion defense), and understanding when the attorney-client privilege and work product doctrine can and cannot protect your company’s documents from discovery.
