Rimon Falkenfort Attorney Co-Authors New Handbook “ESG Compliance” Published by C.H. Beck Verlag

The subject of the handbook is the legal framework for combating the climate crisis, ensuring social standards and creating governance structures, and establishing minimum protection in the area of human rights and social rights. It explains how disclosure incentives should be used to redirect capital flows into sustainable investments.

In detail, the book addresses the scope of the Disclosure and Taxonomy Regulation, different dimensions of sustainability, and new transparency requirements. The book also focuses on interactions with other legal matters, for example the sustainability preferences and the ESG target market of MiFID II, the initiatives to create sustainability labels in the financial industry (fund names, ECO label, EU Green Bonds) as well as requirements of the CSRD in relation to non-financial reporting.
