Global Law Firm Rimon PC Adds Four New Attorneys, expanding Corporate, Real Estate and Competition Practices

Rimon, consistently recognized for its innovation and teamwork throughout its 47 offices is pleased to announce the addition of four new attorneys in the firm’s corporate, M&A, real estate and competition practices and spanning the firm’s locations in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and Bogotá.

Rimon added M&A attorney Glenn Smith as a Partner in Los Angeles. Mr. Smith advises issuers and bankers in capital market transactions, funds on investments, and portfolio matters, as well as public and private companies in capital raising and M&A. He also counsels’ clients on employment matters, board structure and composition, and new business initiatives.  He has wide experience helping clients in a number of industries, including aerospace, technology, life sciences, hospitality, health care, and manufacturing. Mr. Smith comes from Hogan Lovells LLP where he was Counsel.

Further expanding its real estate practice, Rimon also added Derek A. Ridgway as a Partner in San Francisco/Silicon Valley. Mr. Ridgway is a seasoned commercial real estate and construction attorney with more than 25 years of experience. Mr. Ridgway advises in-house corporate counsel, corporate real estate executives and principals in domestic and international real estate transactions. Several of his transactions have been listed in the San Francisco Business Times Top Real Estate Deals.  In conjunction with his real estate work, Mr. Ridgway negotiates and documents joint venture transactions, real estate syndicates, limited partnerships and other real estate holding vehicles for the development and operation of real estate assets and communities.  Mr. Ridgway joins Rimon from Hanson Bridgett LLP, where he was Partner.

Rimon also added Hossein Sajjadi in Chicago as an Associate. Mr. Sajjadi has a business law practice which focuses on representing emerging growth companies throughout their lifecycles as well as the venture capital and private equity funds that invest in those businesses.  His experience includes strategic acquisition and sale transactions, business acquisitions and divestitures, corporate consolidation transactions, asset acquisition and sale transactions, joint ventures and other strategic arrangements. Mr. Sajjadi has prior experience as an associate with Jones Day and Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP.

Rimon continues growth in Colombia with the addition of Susana Aljure as an attorney in Bogotá with partner firm, Rimôn Ibarra. Ms. Aljure supports the firm’s competition focused practice. Rimôn Ibarra recently opened an office in Medellín with the addition of new Partner, Natalia Martinez.

Mr. Smith graduated from Cornell Law School (J.D.) and University of Utah (B.S.) Mr. Ridgway graduated from University of San Francisco School of Law (J.D.) and Loyola Marymount University (B.A.) Mr. Sajjadi graduated from Santa Clara University (J.D., M.B.A.) and University of California Santa Barbara (B.A., Business Economics; B.A., Psychology).  Ms. Aljure graduated from Universidad Nacional de Colombia and Universidad Santo Tomás (MA Criminal Law).
