San Diego, California – Rimon is pleased to welcome patent and trademark Associate, Khanh “Kenny” Glatzel to its San Diego office.

Prior to joining Rimon, Ms. Glatzel was an attorney with intellectual property law firm Premium IP Services.

Ms. Glatzel assists clients with all kinds of intellectual property issues, including obtaining patents, registering trademarks, licensing issues, and regaining domain names that infringe on a company’s intellectual property. She has significant experience representing startups and emerging companies. While Ms. Glatzel represents clients across industries, she is a pioneer in the hemp and CBD industry. Notably, she argued for and ultimately achieved registration at the United States Patent and Trademark Office for the first CBD trademark in 2014. Ms. Glatzel also has special expertise in hemp patenting, having secured many patents in this area. Having advised some of the first CBD companies, she has contributed to the legal framework of the cannabis industry.

“Kenny has great experience working with emerging companies and clients in the cannabis industry – both of which are focus and growth areas for Rimon,” said CEO and Founding Partner, Michael Moradzadeh. “With deep industry knowledge and many years of experience, she will be a valuable member of our intellectual property team.”

Ms. Glatzel will work closely with Rimon intellectual property Partner David Devernoe. “We are delighted to welcome Kenny to the team,” said Mr. Dervernoe. “Her wealth of experience complements our current scope of patent and trademark services in the fields of chemistry, biotechnology, consumer products, mechanical engineering, cannabis/CBD, and brand development/protection.  As a highly skilled patent and trademark attorney with broad experience and a personalized approach, Kenny is a valuable addition to our top-tier group.”

“Rimon is a law firm that breaks boundaries and creates room for growth,” said Ms. Glatzel. “I am excited to join Rimon and to be part of the effort to provide our clients with excellent services.”
