Global Law Firm Rimon P.C. Announces Leadership Expansion with Juan Zuniga in the newly created role of Managing Partner

Juan Zuniga to become one of the first Latinx leaders of an international or U.S. major law firm

Rimon, consistently recognized for its innovation and teamwork throughout its 46 offices today, announces that Juan Zuniga will serve in the newly created role of Managing Partner, overseeing the next stage of development for the almost 200 attorney firm.

Mr. Zuniga steps into the newly created role following Founding Partners, Michael Moradzadeh and Yaacov Silberman, who have managed the firm for more than 14 years, growing the firm from a small start-up in San Francisco to a sophisticated, full-service law firm with locations all around the world. Mr. Moradzadeh and Mr. Silberman will continue to serve in the roles of Founding Partners, focusing on the firm’s business development and strategic growth efforts.

With its innovative billing and compensation structures, and leveraging a distributed platform which provides attorneys with autonomy of work location, and a culture that rejects the hierarchical bureaucracy entrenched in big law, Rimon now boasts almost 200 attorneys globally. The firm and its attorneys have consistently been ranked as leaders in their practice areas, including winning prominent awards from the American Bar Association Journal, American Lawyer and the Financial Times. The firm was recently cited by Fortune Magazine as one of the Best Workplaces in Consulting and Professional Services.

Mr. Zuniga, based out of the firm’s San Diego office, has been a Partner at Rimon for over 9 years, focusing on his Real Estate and Latin America practices as well as collaborating with the firm’s leadership team on Rimon’s diversity and internship initiatives. Mr. Zuniga has served as a mentor and counselor to Rimon attorneys during this tenure. Prior to Rimon, Mr. Zuniga managed his own boutique law practice and also has experience practicing at several well-known, global law firms.

“I am humbled and honored by the trust and confidence that Michael and Yaacov have placed in me to lead the firm going forward,” said Mr. Zuniga on his new leadership position. “Michael and Yaacov have been true groundbreakers in developing innovative models for the practice of law, as can be seen by the many honors they have won in the industry and our growth over the past 14 years.  Their creation of a groundbreaking new structure for law firms has allowed attorneys to operate more efficiently without losing any of the high level of service and provide superior value-added services onto clients. At Rimon, we are incredibly proud of not only our successful business model but also of our incredible culture.  I look forward to expanding on their great work and leading the firm into the future.”

“In addition to being an excellent counselor to his clients and a trusted colleague to his partners, Juan has demonstrated the generosity, empathy and curiosity of a true leader,” Mr. Moradzadeh commented. Mr. Silberman noted, “In the legal world, he was widely respected for his ability to handle the most challenging transactions. As a member of our leadership team, he has shown the same keen insight and forward thinking that has made him a go-to attorney for clients. Juan epitomizes the values that we seek in a Rimon Partner, and we look forward to his leadership of Rimon through its next stage of growth and development.”
