News Rimon  welcomes new Litigation Partner Ivan L. Tjoe to its Los Angeles office Ivan L. Tjoe · September 18, 2020

Rimon is proud to welcome Ivan L. Tjoe, an experienced civil litigator, as a Partner in its Los Angeles office.

Mr. Tjoe joins Rimon from Ropers, Majeski, Kohn & Bentley, where he also worked as a Partner.

Mr. Tjoe is the 24th partner to join Rimon in 2020, a year where the firm has opened offices in Houston, Birmingham, Sydney, St. Petersburg, Berlin, and Dubai.

An experienced litigator who has obtained hundreds of millions of dollars in judgments, verdicts, and settlements for his clients, Mr. Tjoe has handled all phases of civil litigation. He represents international manufacturers, technology companies, logistics companies, financial institutions, and trade associations, as well as screen actors and professional athletes.

Mr. Tjoe joins a rapidly growing litigation team, with Robert Cocchia (San Diego), Katie Hyman (D.C.), Dirk Hamann (Berlin), and Jason Xu (D.C) also joining this year. The firm’s litigators have defended clients in both state and federal courts, as well as before mediators, arbitrators, administrative judges, and regulatory agencies.

“As the economy opens, we are expecting a sharp increase in litigation. Over the last few years, we have seen that clients are very interested in using our litigators to handle cases across the country. We are very happy to welcome Ivan to our deep bench of top-flight litigators who can assist our clients in handling these potential bet-the-company cases,” said Rimon CEO, Michael Moradzadeh.

“I was attracted to Rimon’s unique, non-traditional business model wherein clients are ensured to receive the absolute best work product but at creative and flexible fee structures.  This is made possible in part by the elite legal professionals at Rimon, and in part by the firm’s robust technology suite.  I’m excited about the opportunities and look forward to getting to know all of my new colleagues at the firm,” said Mr. Tjoe.

Mr. Tjoe earned a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.

Rimon has 32 offices across four continents.
