Rimon Partner Marc Kaufman wins the 2020 Global Law Experts Award: FinTech Sector IP Lawyer of the Year in Washington D.C.

Rimon Partner and Co-founder of the Blockchain IP Council, Marc Kaufman, wins the Global Law Experts (GLE) 2020 award: FinTech Sector IP Lawyer of the Year in Washington D.C.for 2020 for the second year in a row.

During the recommendations stage, GLE receives over 120,000 responses from business directors, in-house legal counsel, independent law firms, high net-worth individuals, bar associations, visitors to the GLE website and LinkedIn users. These recommendations were combined with GLE’s own independent research in order to create a shortlist for each award category. GLE is one of the world’s leading online resources for locating specialist legal advisers for the services required by businesses, investors and individuals around the world with over 70,000 users visiting their website each month. Marc Kaufman concentrates his practice in the area of patent strategy, in particular, advising clients in protecting, managing and leveraging their intellectual property assets. He has also represented clients in defending against patent assertions in district courts and through post-grant administrative proceedings in the U.S. Patent Office. Mr. Kaufman has created structured procedures to secure and enforce intellectual property rights in a market-focused manner. Marc’s practice focuses on computer software including the areas of Fintech, database technology, content distribution, and computer security. Over the last several years, Marc has actively monitored and analyzed the emerging patent landscape related to blockchain technology and cryptocurrency.
