Rimon Law Welcomes Corporate Attorney Sam Miller as Partner in its Los Angeles Office

Los Angeles- Rimon Law welcomes corporate finance Partner Sam Miller to the firm’s Los Angeles office.

Mr. Miller joins Rimon from Arent Fox, where he was a member of its corporate finance team and co-head of its Blockchain Group.

Mr. Miller’s practice is focused on Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and corporate finance, with substantial experience in cross-border transactional representation. His work includes both inbound investment into the US and outbound work for US businesses establishing or developing presences in foreign jurisdictions.

Mr. Miller’s work includes corporate and partnership structuring, shareholder, operating and buy-sell agreements, general corporate matters, supply, distribution, consignment and inventory management arrangements, and other commercial transactions.

Mr. Miller has extensive experience in the ‘metals’ industry. In addition to his legal practice, he previously served as North American lead in-house counsel to Kloeckner Metals Corporation (Macsteel Service Centers USA, Inc.).

He also focuses on technology, particularly blockchain and token-driven blockchain businesses, and works with participants in the fine art markets.

In addition to his in-house experience, he was corporate finance solicitor in the leading City of London firm, Berwin Leighton Paisner, LLP (now Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner).

At Rimon, Mr. Miller will be joining experienced International Transactions and M&A partners, including John HanleyMark LeeMac WaldbaumGeoffrey Perusse and Ray Garcia who also joined Rimon this year. Rimon’s international team is based in four countries in Europe, China, the Middle East, and the United States and extends to several other countries through the Rimon Alliance.

Mr. Miller is licensed in California, England and Wales and in South Africa, and has extensive corporate and commercial transactional experience in all three jurisdictions.

In addition to his legal practice,  Mr. Miller founded the Brenda Lucille Miller UCLA South African Education Fund for Movement Disorders in conjunction with UCLA’s Center for World Health (now UCLA’s Global Health Education and Research Program). He is a long-time fine art collector and founded the blockchain asset-based fine art platform The Fine Art Ledger.

Mr. Miller received his LLM, cum laude, from the University of Nottingham (England), his LLB from the University of the Witwatersand and his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa).
