Katherine E. McComic is a dynamic real estate and land use attorney who brings legal precision, policy insight, and a collaborative approach to complex development challenges. With a background in strategic government affairs and a passion for sustainable growth, Katherine specializes in guiding clients through the political, regulatory, and transactional aspects of real property acquisitions, dispositions, financing, land use, zoning, and development. Katherine supports a broad range of projects across California, providing strategic counsel on commercial real estate transactions, entitlement processes, permitting, and vital community engagement. Her work emphasizes sustainability, long-term value, and practical outcomes tailored to each client’s goals.

Katherine earned her J.D. on a full-tuition law school scholarship, during which time she balanced full-time study with a full-time internship with the Economic Development Administration of the City of New Haven.

Deeply involved in the professional community, Katherine serves on the Career and Retention Committee of the Women Lawyers of Sacramento Board and actively participates in the Sacramento chapters of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and NAIOP. She is also a member of ACRE (Association of Commercial Real Estate) and a leader of the Incremental Development Alliance’s pilot programming in Sacramento, helping to shape inclusive, small-scale development models in Sacramento. Despite arriving in Sacramento only in late 2023, her influence in the community landed her a nomination by the American Heart Association to the 2026 Leaders of Impact class for the Greater Sacramento Area.

Known for her agility, thoughtful analysis, and commitment to collaboration, Katherine is a trusted advisor at the intersection of real estate transactions, land use, and community impact.
