Julie Nichols is an attorney and executive with more than 25 years of combined legal, contract, business, consulting, and management experience. She assists clients with all facets of business transactions, disputes, and compliance matters. Julie’s contract management and business executive experience provide her with a practical perspective on her clients’ business needs when delivering legal advice.

Julie advises clients on a full range of government contracting issues, including:

  • Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) compliance;
  • Small business subcontracting requirements;
  • GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) and VA Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) contracts;
  • Organizational and personal conflicts of interest;
  • Intellectual property and data rights;
  • Restrictions on hiring former federal officials;
  • Non-compete, non-solicitation, and non-disclosure agreements;
  • Price adjustments;
  • Subcontracts and teaming agreements;
  • Bid protests;
  • Size and status protests;
  • Joint ventures;
  • Proposals;
  • Contract novations;
  • Buy American and Trade Agreements requirements;
  • FOIA and data privacy matters;
  • Disputes and contract claims under the Contract Disputes Act (CDA);

In addition to her government contracts practice, Julie advises clients on general corporate matters, including corporate formations, corporate governance, equity and debt instruments, and mergers, acquisitions, and asset purchases. She has extensive experience drafting and negotiating contracts, leases, and other transactional documents, conducting due diligence, and researching, analyzing, and reporting on complex legal issues.
