Jeffrey Melcher

Jeffrey “Jeff” Melcher has more than 30 years of experience as a commercial and business litigator. He serves as regional defense and coverage counsel and has successfully litigated matters nationwide, with a particular focus on the Southeast. His practice encompasses a broad range of disputes, including labor and employment, health care, transportation, insurance and bad faith litigation, toxic tort and product liability, real estate and premises matters, and complex business disputes of all kinds.

Jeff has extensive experience handling large corporate and individual fraud and RICO actions. He also defends trucking and transportation claims and related insurance disputes, as well as high-level insurance coverage and bad faith matters.

He has substantial experience defending professional malpractice claims involving physicians, nurses, and other medical providers; hospitals and treatment centers; and attorneys, accountants, architects, and surveyors.

In addition, Jeff regularly defends employers in a wide range of employment law matters, including discrimination claims, restrictive covenant disputes, and employment contract litigation. He also has significant appellate experience and has achieved numerous successful outcomes at the appellate level.
