Jacob Mendoza

Jake Mendoza’s practice focuses on corporate finance and the representation of participants in the global institutional financial marketplace. He represents clients in a range of financing transactions, including bank syndications, private secured and unsecured debt placements, bilateral lending and various bank finance products.

Jake has a specialized practice focusing on cross-border private placements of securities to various financial institutions. He has broad international experience across a variety of jurisdictions and industries, having acted on numerous matters in the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom, Canada, Mexico, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

SELECTED EXPERIENCE

• Advised on the issuance of privately placed debt securities by Easterly Government Properties, Inc., a publicly traded REIT focused on the development of governmental facilities.
• Acted as lead counsel on the issuance of privately placed debt securities for the commercial arm of one of the largest UK financial institutions.
• Acted as lead counsel on a private placement by Royal FrieslandCampina N.V., one of the largest dairy cooperatives in the world.
• Advised on the solvent restructuring of a UK housing and development group.
• Acted as lead counsel on both bilateral and syndicated private placements by a UK media company.
