Eric Martin Scott
Information Governance Counsel
As Information Governance Counsel at Rimon PC, Eric collaborates with key leaders to develop and implement policies and procedures to foster and advance Rimon’s culture of integrity and accountability, with an emphasis on risk management and the protection of Rimon’s clients and client relationships.
Prior to joining Rimon PC, Eric has functioned variously as a privacy consultant, an IT analyst, and in-house legal counsel working with information governance, privacy, and security. He has experience syncing with Security, Information Technology, and Compliance teams to implement and maintain relevant data protection standards.
When not at work, Eric enjoys time with his wife, his dog Eleanor, and two cats Edgar and Edith.
SELECTED EXPERIENCE
- Supporting complex investigations and analysis of use of ad-tech analytics trackers and pixels.
- Implementing and maintaining Data Subject Request, Vendor Risk Management and Data Mapping processes.
- Supporting IT and other business departments in compliance with data protection regulations and preparation for future privacy regulations.
- Ensuring new privacy requirements are considered during the design phase of digital initiatives (Privacy-by-Design).
- Providing support and guidance for incident response to breaches of confidential or personal information.
- Drafting policies, standards, and other information protection guidance documents.
