Rimon is proud to welcome Douglas Young as a Partner in its San Francisco office. Before Rimon, Mr. Young was a Partner at both White & Case and Baker & McKenzie. Mr. Young is the 25th partner to join Rimon so far in 2020.

Mr. Young is a corporate lawyer with 35 years of experience in cross-border work and corporate finance. In the cross-border arena, he focuses on M&A deals predominantly involving targets based in Europe and on business expansions in Europe, South America, and Asia.  The corporate finance side of his practice focuses on secured and unsecured credit facilities and debt issuances, venture capital and private equity financings and investments, debt restructurings, and corporate recapitalizations, and on multinational intergroup financing structures, including in asset restructurings, post-acquisition integrations, cash repatriations, and cash pooling and intergroup liquidity facilities.

At Rimon, Mr. Young joins a dynamic team that advises companies ranging from startups to large public corporations, as well as financial institutions, on almost every type of transaction. Fellow M&A Partners Xiaowei Ye and Mikhail Usubyan also recently joined the firm, expanding Rimon’s M&A team to over 60 attorneys.

“We expect to see a significant uptick in distressed M&A transactions as well as corporate debt restructurings and recapitalizations in the COVID and post-COVID environments,” said Rimon CEO, Michael Moradzadeh. “Doug’s knowledge and depth of experience will be a crucial tool for our clients.”

“I am honored in joining Rimon to take a place among an esteemed international fellowship of highly accomplished like-spirited colleagues.  For 35 years I have had a passion for grappling with challenging issues confronting the clients I serve in a career of evolving focus on cross-border work and complex and novel financing work.  I am very happy now to have the opportunity to benefit from the unique and cutting-edge platform that Rimon will afford me for further evolution of that career in a new dynamic of efficacy for those clients and for me,” said Mr. Young.

Mr. Young earned a J.D. from the University of Chicago, and an A.B. from Columbia University where he was magna cum laude.
