San Diego — Continuing to build on the firm’s dynamic Intellectual Property (IP) team, Rimon Law welcomes Dr. Dale Rieger as Partner in its San Diego Office.

Dr. Rieger joins Rimon Law from Jones Day, where he was Partner.

Dr. Rieger’s practice focuses on patent matters in the areas of biotechnology, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, bioinformatics, proteomics and medical devices. His extensive pharmaceutical understanding and experience brings a unique skillset to Rimon’s IP team.

Dr. Rieger counsels clients in all aspects of patent portfolio development, particularly in the field of chemistry including pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and polymers. He advises pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies regarding pharmaceutical life cycle management and Hatch-Waxman patent term extensions and litigation. He also advises corporate and venture investors on intellectual property due diligence associated with mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private and public financings, and initial public offerings.

This month, Rimon also opened offices in Dubai, Berlin, and Sydney this month with the additions of Richard Ernest, Dirk Hamann, and Andrew Reilley respectively.

Dr. Rieger earned a J.D. from the University of San Diego, was an American Cancer Society Post-Doctoral Fellow at Harvard University, earned a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Indiana University, and a B.S. in chemistry from the University of Minnesota.
