Rimon Law Welcomes Corporate, Finance and Business Transactions Attorney Héctor Arangua to the Firm and Officially Establishes Mexico Practice

Rimon Law is pleased to announce the arrival of corporate attorney, Héctor Arangua to the firm. Héctor is licensed to practice in both the United States and Mexico.

Héctor joins the firm from Arangua Abogados, where he was a Partner in the Mexico City office. Hector was a founding Partner of Nader, Hayaux & Goebel until January 2023.

Héctor focuses his practice on capital markets, structured finance, private equity, and M&A, having over 20 years of experience in these areas. He advises both private and public companies on securities and business transactions in Mexico and internationally. Héctor also advises on structured finance issues, providing advice to lenders on structuring complex bankruptcy-remote payment structures, both in Mexico and cross-border. He also advises clients on M&A transactions and has expertise in the venture capital and private equity sector, where he advises on fund formation and on investment and divestment matters, with particular focus on cross-border investments.

Héctor graduated as a lawyer from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and obtained his LL.M from the University of Michigan Law School.

“With Héctor’s arrival, we officially launch a regional practice for Rimon in Mexico,” said Juan Zúñiga, Managing Partner of Rimon. “This is a development that I am personally very excited about and proud of and which complements my own cross-border practice, as well as the practices of several other Rimon Partners. Rimon has been active in cross-border transactions with Mexico for some time, particularly in the areas of corporate, finance and real estate.”

“I am really excited to join Rimon. I am convinced the platform provided and the amazing group of lawyers in the firm are a perfect match for me and my practice areas,” said Héctor Arangua. “I am looking forward to helping the firm with its initiative to increase its presence in Mexico and other Latin American markets.”

Growth in Latin America has been a priority for Rimon. The firm has two offices in Colombia, a partnership with Colombian law firm, Ibarra Rimon, and recently took on Latin American focused project finance Partner, John Murphy in Miami.

Rimon’s Chief Legal and Growth Officer T.J. Henry commented: “We are very excited to welcome Héctor to the firm and officially launch a Mexico practice. 2023 was an unprecedented year of growth for us, and we have much more in the pipeline for 2024.”
