Rimon Law Launches Global Private Credit Practice with Addition of 6 new Attorneys

New York, NY – Rimon Law today announced the arrival of finance attorneys Dorothy Foster (Boston), Jake Mendoza (Chicago), Sarah Challen McKee (London), Tim Kennedy (London), Chloe Abbott (London) and Hallie Tucker (London). The group will join Rimon’s existing private placement and private credit team as part of the firm’s new Global Private Credit Practice.
The members of Rimon’s Global Private Credit Practice are market-leaders in the debt private placement market, acting for investors on transactions across the US, UK, Europe, Australia/New Zealand and Latin America. The team also specializes in private credit, representing asset managers and credit funds on a range of direct lending, junior capital and minority equity investments. The Global Private Credit Practice also includes finance and corporate attorneys Michael Gustafson, Margaret Parker-Yavuz, Steven Toy, Stephen Fang and Tom O’Connor, who joined Rimon earlier this year.

Team Biographies
Dorothy Foster focuses her practice on domestic and cross-border private placement financings, secured and unsecured debt and equity investments, and the restructuring of financial investments. She regularly represents institutional investors and other financial institutions in a variety of domestic and cross-border financial transactions, including purchases of privately placed debt and equity securities, secured and unsecured lending transactions, mezzanine finance, and other subordinated debt and equity investments. Dorothy served as a law clerk for the Hon. Flemming L. Norcott, Jr. of the Connecticut Supreme Judicial Court. She earned her J.D. with honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law and her B.A, summa cum laude, from the University of Connecticut.
Jake Mendoza’s practice focuses on corporate finance and the representation of participants in the global institutional financial marketplace. He represents clients in a range of financing transactions, including bank syndications, private secured and unsecured debt placements, bilateral lending and various bank finance products. Jake has a specialized practice focusing on cross-border private placements of securities to various financial institutions. He has broad international experience across a variety of jurisdictions and industries, having acting on numerous matters in the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom, Canada, Mexico, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Jake received his B.A. from Purdue University and his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
Sarah Challen McKee focuses on financing and cross-border debt restructuring transactions. She has experience advising lenders on a range of matters, including direct lending, private placements, financial restructurings, leveraged finance and acquisition finance. Prior to joining the Rimon, Sarah trained and practiced in the London office of a leading law firm, which included working in their office in Brussels. Sarah graduated from BPP University Law School, England (L.P.C.) and University of Oxford (B.A.)
Tim Kennedy is a finance associate in the private credit team based in the London office, with a particular focus on private credit transactions and debt private placements. He acts for institutional investors, investment funds and other financial institutions including non-traditional lenders on a range of complex cross-border and domestic financing transactions. Prior to joining Rimon, Tim was an associate in the London office of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP having trained in the London office of Mayer Brown LLP. Tim graduated from BPP University Law School, England with his L.P.C. and LL.B. (Hons).
Chloe Abbott is a London based finance lawyer specializing in cross border financings, with a focus on debt private placements and mid-market private credit. Her practice includes advising institutional investors, insurance companies, investment funds and non-traditional lenders on a wide range of complex debt transactions including syndicated, club and bilateral private placements, direct lending and private credit transactions. Prior to joining Rimon, Chloe practiced in the London office of leading law firms including Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP and Ashurst LLP, and completed a secondment with a prominent private capital provider. She earned her L.P.C. and M.Sci from the University of Law, London and her B.A Law from the University of Cambridge.
Hallie Tucker represents institutional investors, asset managers, insurance companies, and other financial institutions in a variety of domestic and cross-border financial transactions, including private credit, direct lending and bilateral and syndicated private placement transactions. Hallie earned her BA with honors from the University of Durham, a GDL from BPP University Law School in London and her LPC MSc from the University of Law in London.
