Rimon advises COLCAP on the acquisition of the new Vattenfall headquarters in Berlin

EnglishRimon Falkenfort advised COLCAP on the acquisition of a newly constructed building complex at Berlin’s Südkreuz.
The new building designed by architect Tchoban Voss sets new standards in sustainable construction. This makes it the largest wood-hybrid building in Germany. By using the wood-hybrid components, about 80% CO2 can be saved compared to conventional components made of (steel) concrete, making the project one of the most sustainable in the country. The buildings are pre-certified with DGNB platinum and Well Core Gold v2.
The larger part of the building will serve as the headquarters of the energy group Vattenfall in the future. Other anchor tenants are Qcells, Aromaplant and Daher Logistics.
“The new acquisition will help enhancing our green portfolio,” says Dr. Claus-Henning Tillner, Managing Director of COLCAP. “Due to the Taxonomy Regulation, competition for ESG-compliant real estate will intensify further in the coming years,” adds COLCAP Managing Director Uwe Hellendahl.
