Ms. Burns joins Rimon from the firm of Ruberto, Israel & Weiner, P.C., where she was a shareholder and co-chair of the firm’s Trusts & Estates Group.

Concentrating her practice in the areas of tax planning, multi-generational wealth transfers, business succession planning, estate planning and estate administration, Ms. Burns works to preserve wealth, promote family harmony and minimize taxes.

She focuses on drafting estate planning documents including wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable insurance and generation-skipping trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, charitable trusts, durable powers of attorney and healthcare proxies. Ms. Burns also assists executors and fiduciaries with estate and trust administration matters.

At Rimon, Ms. Burns is joining a firm widely recognized as an innovator in the legal field, offering full service teams of highly-experienced attorneys with the ability to adapt to client needs. Rimon’s corporate, litigation, intellectual property, tax and private client attorneys work as a close-knit team throughout its 14 offices internationally. The firm includes other noted estate planning partners, such as Scott Ross in Silicon Valley and Filmore Rose in Seattle

The Financial Times has twice recognized Rimon on its list of most innovative law firms and the firm’s managing partners were both named ‘Legal Rebels’ by the American Bar Association’s ABA Journal and have been speakers at Harvard and Stanford Law Schools on innovations in the practice of law.

“As our clients accumulate wealth, they continually see the need for top advice in the area of wealth management and in trying to structure the best and most efficient methods to pass along their lifetime of work to their families and others. Lisa has established a great reputation as a leader in handling these challenging issues for clients. We are very happy to have her join us,” said Michael Moradzadeh, Rimon’s CEO.

Ms. Burns has been elected as a Fellow to the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC); has been recognized by Boston Magazine and Law Politics magazine as a “Super Lawyer Rising Star” in the area of Trusts and Estates; and was named one of the top 10 Lawyers by readers in Women’s Business Boston.

“Rimon has created a name for itself as a top firm. Its innovative approach to the law firm model is appealing to both myself and to my clients, who are looking for representation by the top attorneys in the field, with a reasonable fee structure. I have found that Rimon provides that,” said Ms. Burns.

Ms. Burns received her L.L.M in Taxation from Georgetown University, her J.D. from American University and her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
