Rimon corporate/regulatory partner Daanish Hamid was a panelist at the IPA/EDO Situational Roundtable & Open Forum on the Ukraine/Russia Conflict hosted by the International Trade Council on Thursday, March 3, 2022.

Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Economy, Alexander Griban, Deputy State Secretary, Anatolii Kutsevo, and representatives from the Governments of Turkey, Moldova, Estonia, Canada, and Malta were also on the panel.

Discussion included the following topics:

  • The immediate situation (with updates provided live by the Deputy Minister of Economy and the Deputy State Secretary of Cabinet of Ukraine).
  • How constituents of IPAs / EDOs may be directly affected.
  • What can IPAs / EDOs can do to assist the people of Ukraine.
  • The effect than sanctions against Russia may have on local companies – (even in small / regional cities far from Europe).
  • The effect on supply chains globally (including over-supply and under-supply, caused by product diversions, inability to fulfill orders, service disruptions, energy disruptions / changed in global energy prices and more).

Daanish Hamid is a corporate/regulatory partner in Rimon’s Washington DC office. His practice covers mergers and acquisitions, private equity/venture capital, joint ventures, technology licensing, commercial transactions, and general corporate matters.
