Global law firm Rimon PC expands Bogotá office with addition of new Tax and Private Wealth Attorneys

Bogotá, Colombia – Since opening in October 2020 with Tax and Private Wealth Partner Rodrigo Castillo Cottin, Rimon’s Bogotá office has expanded to a team of five.
Rimon is pleased to welcome attorney Christian Escudero Caviedes to the firm. Mr. Escudero focuses his practice on tax. He has experience in tax consulting and advises clients on issues including national, territorial, direct, and indirect tax. He also advises on the application of the double taxation agreements to help clients engaged in international business. Mr. Escudero was previously a Tax Consultant with EY Colombia.
Tax Associate Alejandra Becerra joined the Rimon team in 2021. Ms. Becerra has experience providing consulting and tax planning services for individuals and multinational business in a range of industries including oil and gas, retail, infrastructure, and banking and finance, among others. Ms. Becerra also provides advice on tax compliance and due diligence matters. Prior to Rimon, Ms. Becarra was a Tax Associate at Baker McKenzie.
Senior Associate Ana Lopez Murillo joined the Bogota team in 2020. Ms. Lopez Murillo concentrates her practice on tax law, trusts and estates. She advises multijurisdictional corporations, financial institutions, high-net-worth individuals and families on domestic and international tax issues, tax planning, tax compliance, inheritance and estate planning, exchange of information, and amnesty programs. Ms. Lopez Murillo joined Rimon from Baker McKenzie where she was an Attorney. She also has prior experience at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte.
The firm has also recently taken on law student, Laura Pardo, in Bogotá. Ms. Pardo is an eighth-semester law student at Universidad la Gran Colombia. She has prior experience at the Colombia Tax Office and at M Soluciones Jurídicas.

In addition to growing the Bogotá office, Rimon also joined forces with Ibarra Abogados in Colombia late last year. The new Ibarra-Rimon group has three Partners and five associates, with expertise in a range of areas including competition, trade law, consumer protection, litigation, administrative law, data privacy, compliance, and intellectual property.
