The Santa Clara County Bar Association, the preeminent bar association of Silicon Valley, recently announced that Rimon Partner, Gabriel Gregg, was elected as 2018 President-Elect, and thus will become the 2019 SCCBA President. The SCCBA’s announcement can be found here

Gabriel won the majority of the votes of the SCCBA membership in a contested election.  This position of leadership follows many years of voluntary SCCBA service by Gabriel in various other capacities.

Rimon is developing a bar-president tradition in Northern California, with Rimon Partner, Matt Poppe, having previously served as SCCBA President in 2016.  Rimon strongly supports and encourages its attorneys to contribute their time and effort to professional, academic, charitable and other important legal and community organizations.


About Gabriel Gregg:
Gabriel joined Rimon from Robinson & Wood, Inc., where he was a partner with a broad NorCal litigation practice, handling complex matters in a variety of areas including intellectual property, securities, unfair competition and class action defense, employment, white-collar matters, insurance litigation and coverage analysis, and general business litigation. Gabriel has litigated cases in trial and appellate courts in both the state and federal systems, as well as agency proceedings.

About Matt Poppe:
Matt’s litigation experience spans a wide range of patent, other intellectual property, and commercial cases. Key clients include Varian Medical Systems, Dell EMC, eBay, Baidu, and Brocade. He has also represented a variety of Asia-based clients in U.S. litigation arising out of troubled business relationships. Matt will continue litigating patent cases with a focus on computer networking, data storage, software, medical device, and semiconductor technologies. Matt also leverages his substantial experience with trade secret, copyright, and trademark litigation, as well as general commercial disputes such as breach of contract and fraud claims and consumer class actions.
