Fulbright Association’s Advocacy Days
Events Stephen Joel Trachtenberg April 13-14, 2016
This unique event intends to unify Fulbright alumni in a targeted effort to educate Congressional leaders of the economic, political, and social benefits of the Fulbright Program.
The two-day gathering will start on April 13 for 1946 Society members and other attendees with an alumni tour of the U.S. Capitol, followed by an exclusive reception at the Embassy of Hun-gary in Washington, DC, hosted by Ambassador Dr. Réka Szemerkényi, a Fulbright alumna.
On April 14, the event will start with a training session, light breakfast and welcome remarks from former Congressman and Fulbright Association Board Member Max Burns as well as Deputy Majority Whip Congress Tom Cole (a Fulbrighter).
Attendees for this event will include inaugural members of our 1946 Society, our national Board of Directors, invited Fulbright leaders (local chapter presidents, representatives from international Fulbright Commissions/alumni associations, university officials and corporate executives), interna-tional exchange partners as well as key Congressmen and their legislative staff.
