This half-day program will offer in-depth discussions about the evolving landscape of regulation for tokens and ICOs. They will also analyze the implications of blockchain technology in other markets, such as healthcare and insurance, and how it will impact other legal issues, including jurisdiction and evidence.

Marc Kaufman is a partner in Rimon’s FinTech, Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain, and Intellectual Property groups. Marc Kaufman concentrates his practice in the area of patent strategy, in particular, advising clients in protecting, managing and monetizing their intellectual property assets. He has represented clients in defending against patent assertions in district courts and through post-grant administrative proceedings in the U.S. Patent Office, such as Inter Partes Reviews. Mr. Kaufman has been active in creating procedures to secure and enforce intellectual property rights, as well as structuring and negotiating intellectual property transactions. Marc’s practice focuses on computer software including the areas of Fintech, database technology, content distribution, and computer security. Over the last several years, Marc has actively monitored and analyzed the emerging patent landscape related to blockchain technology and cryptocurrency. Dror Futter is a partner in Rimon’s CorporateFinTech, Cryptocurrencies and BlockchainIntellectual Property and Technology groups. Dror’s practice focuses on representing startup companies in their financing and merger and acquisition transactions and their intellectual property, IT and internet agreements. Dror was the general counsel of Vidyo, Inc., a venture-backed videoconferencing company and before that the general counsel of New Venture Partners LLC, a venture capital firm specializing in corporate spinouts. Dror was the co-founding chair of the PLI VC Law program and is a frequent speaker on legal topics at technology meetups and other startup-focused programming in the New York/New Jersey region. He is a member of the model forms drafting group of the National Venture Capital Association, the legal advisory board of the Angel Capital Association and the legal working group of the Wall Street Blockchain Alliance. Dror is a graduate of Princeton University and Columbia University School of Law.
