Dov M. Grunschlag is Counsel to Rimon. Mr. Grunschlag has practiced labor and employment law for over 30 years, with broad experience across the field. His practice combines counseling and litigation on behalf of employers and individuals. He is a Fellow of the nationwide College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, has had the Super Lawyer rating for employment lawyers since 2005 and and has been recognized by the San Francisco Business Times: The Best Lawyers in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Dov was a partner in the labor and employment group of the international law firm DLA Piper and its predecessor firm in San Francisco, Steinhart & Falconer. Before entering law practice, he was Professor of Law at the University of California at Davis and served as law clerk to Chief Justice Roger Traynor of the California Supreme Court.
Dov is a graduate of Columbia College, where he was editor-in-chief of the Columbia Daily Spectator, and Columbia Law School, where he was an editor of the Law Review and graduated magna cum laude. Representative engagements since 2000 have included:
- Numerous representations of CEO's and other high-level executives in the negotiation of employment agreements, employment separation agreements, and related transactions.
- Counseling of management in connection with reductions-in-force.
- Numerous representations, both counseling and litigation, involving covenants not to compete and other restrictive covenants.
- Representation of home builder in prevailing wage litigation.
- Representation of retail store chain in wage and hour litigation.
- Representation of Big Four firm in sex harassment and disability discrimination litigation.
- Representation of global manufacturing firm in race and sex discrimination litigation.
